Thread Title : I read this

This was a book from the Silver Anniversary boxed set that TSR put out in '99.  It contained the following. 

1. The history of TSR book you see in the auction. 
2. Reprint of the 1978 basic set manual.
3. Reprints of the modules B1, G1, G2, G3, S2, I6 and the never published L3.  
4. A picture of a knight fighing a dragon.  
5. A set of dice, not real sure?

I bought this set when I happened to stop in a gaming store I used to frequent.  I hadn't gamed since the early 80's and so it brought back a lot of nostalgia and good memories for me.  Try to get the whole set if you can.  Not sure what it will go for on ebay, but it retailed new for $59

I thought it was a book that you could buy.

I currently am revisiting my youth by buying the core books and basic expert sets and tons of mods. My collection now far surpasses it back in the day. And I only collect mint stuff.it really brings back great memories.........Living was so much cooler then!! 

Still trying to get thay damn Melnibone/Elric Deities and Demigods!!

I have it. No dice. Just the modules.

I can say the book isn't worth $10, and the info contained therein is found easily online.

Ironically it probably won't go out of date either, because TSR went belly up to random house around this time.......

I find myself becoming more and more fascinated w/ Gygax/TSR and D&D in my old age.  I said before I have been collecting a ton of 1ed stuff from ebay after over 22 years of not playing..........now I need to find time to play!!
