Monsters of Krynn (What can I use?)

Jul 02, 2007 0:13:25 So I kinda noticed that Krynn has no Orcs. Are there any other monsters that are not considered Krynish? Is there a DL Book that lists the monsters that exists in Krynn and those that do not? So far I have determined that Drow Elves and Orcs do not exists in Ansalon.

Jul 02, 2007 8:11:32 The basic list of monsters from the MM that do not appear on Krynn is:

* Orcs
* Driders
* Drow
* Halflings
* Titans
* Lycanthropes
* Mind flayers

Variants of the above creatures have been included, however. There's a creature called a yaggol that's essentially a devolved mind flayer, and of course kender are Krynn's halflings. There are no half-humanoid half-dragons (i.e. the offspring of a dragon and a humanoid creature) but the template may be used to represent all kinds of other creatures, so it's still available.

Jul 02, 2007 19:26:18 Sorry to correct the almighty Cam Banks :D but that is the Psionic version of Mind Flayers don't exist in Krynn. Yaggol (mind flayers who have no psionics) exist in Krynn (on Taladas) and may even be redeveloping their psionics, or possibly mentalism (a form of mysticism).

Dang should have read the entire post before hitting that reply button.
