This is actually for a WoD: Mummy game, but I used the concept of a sorcerer king and the city state. Feel free to use it in your Dark Sun game, if you wish.

This is about the time of 1500ad.

The Immortal Africanus's name is, "Shamon". He is atleast 300 years old and a Judean.

The region is in Africa, just south of the Saraha. The people are muslim. The people call themselves, The "Meksa".

The Immortal lives in a walled part of town with a tower, to which he watches his kingdom. The fortification is called, "Akhmut".

There is another group of people, whom the immortal conquered, who live in the forests to the south. They are not Mulsim and speak a different language. They are called, The "Madu"

There are two cites. A muslim one and a christian one. The christian city is walled. The muslim one is not. The name of the muslim city is, "Neneba". The christian city is called, "Kheti"

Ral, I like the sounds of it, where would you think it could be on Athas? maybe in one of the City-states Brian came up with? just an idea. I would like to incorporate it into our campaign. Scott

It could be on the edge of a forest, say, the Hinterlands or someplace far from the Tyr Region.

For Darksun, I imagine an Elf City in which they are ruled by a sorcerer-King/Queen and the other city is the Dwarf City. The dwarves farm the land whereas the elves act has merchants. The lack of wall indicates the Elf City is meant to abandoned during an attack. Perhaps it's full of warrior elves?
