Just looking to have a game that starts about 20 years before the firey mountain hits Krynn and I was wondering what books you would say have the best info on that era. Thanks ahead of time.

You really want to look for a book called Legends of the Twins, which goes into great detail about Istar.

Thank you Clark I have that book already. I guess I was just hoping for more info on other areas of Krynn than it had to offer. Looking to set the PC's up away from Istar when the firey MT is doomed to fall. So I was hoping to find something to drag them away. IE something in Ergoth or the Kharolis or even Balifor. Just some back ground info away from Istar. But thanks anyways. My fault for not saying I had the book before hand.

Are you talking about general info and fluff or sourcebook type things?

If you're talking novels, the trilogy you're looking for is the Kingpriest trilogy. It does a really good job of setting up the Cataclysm. It describes what Xak Tsaroth is like at the time of the fall.

More fluff than anything really. I shall have to read the Kingpriest series.

AWESOME trilogy!!! Chris Pierson does a great job detailing the history of Krynn at that time.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much info on the history of the Orders of High Sorcery was in the Kingpriest trilogy.

The kingpriest trilogy is good, but don't forget the reign of Istar, Lord Soth, and The Cataclysm.

Also, the Legends books are a place to go.

Excellent Trey! I was going to say that too! It's like we're on the same wavelength, you, me, and Figgy.
