Hey,
Im trying to come up with a list of the 20 most useful D20 products made by companies other than WotC for Mystarans.

I think this could be useful for people who are looking to pick up some new stuff for use with or inspiration for their Mystara campaigns.

The books that first come to mind are the D20 Blackmoor sourcebooks and the Freeport line, but feel free to disagree with me on this. Goodman Games' campaign classics or even the Known Realms setting could be included as could the Wilderlands setting. Monster books also seem likely to be considered useful.

Share ideas and give your opinions on the items I have already mentioned.

Good topic, havard!

A few I use frequently:

Eternal Rome (Green Ronin)- very useful for Thyatian campaigns

Hamunaptra (Green Ronin)- good for anything Nithian

The Seafarer's Handbook/ Seas of Blood/ Skull and Bones- great for any campaign that has a sea-going component.

Fields of Blood/ Cry Havoc- plenty of ideas for Mass combat, both in actual mass combat and how to integrate d20 skills and feats into mass combat. It will be most useful in converting War/Siege/Sea Machine to 3.5E. They also deal with some dominion rules.

Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game! Say no more!

Although, now that I think about it, it's built from the SRD so it's not technically a "D20" product (as in license). It's still good stuff.

I think it should be allowed. Whether OGL, D20 or anything using that mechanic but not produced by WotC it is allowed in this thread. If someone feels the need for it we could make a separate thread for non D20 material or WotC books.

Book of Immortals (mongoose) - Very good for players who want to become Immortals

But beware: It's not a book about OD&D Immortals, is good source for idears and rules for the quest to immortality
