I'm brainstorming a character idea. She would be a half-giant trader. Using athas.org 3.5e rules, her class is rogue.

http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dcnxr79f_4cf2jzq

She was a former drug lord in Raam, but since the collapse of the government and of her merchant house there, she has been on the move to avoid being killed by rival merchant houses. She works indepedently now, and has a handful of mul mercenaries or slaves (can't decide which one) who guard her.

What are the best Dark Sun setting sources for info on drugs in Athas. Various plants or chemicals that have effects, stimulatory, psionic, recreational, steroid, etc. If not I'll make some up, but it would be fun to use actual dark sun drugs and plants.

What special 3.5e feats should I consider for this kind of character idea. Is there a book that has good information on making a drug trafficker type character? Like a D&D Rogue handbook or something like that? Maybe even prestige class that matches this description, for a sort of crime lord?

Thanks!!!

While not Athasian, there are about 15-20 drugs in the Book of Vile Darkness. They aren't very specific about the "ingredients" for most of them so you could make Athasian versions fairly easily.

Both AE and FFN will have drugs and poisons in them, so that will help, as soon as they are out.

The only drug I know of is esper weed, which affects psionic powers in a way, but I'm not sure if it's legal or illegal. It is addictive I believe...

Your character has extremely high mental stats for a Half-Giant. The quotes you have really don't match up with the characters intelligence (12) and charisma (16).... not that's it's really any of my business, but If I were running the game I would require some serious explaination as to why people find Sto charming and why she acts so much dumber then she really is.

She acts dumb in order to take advantage of people. They don't suspect her of being manipulative, because she's the cute dumb half-giant.

I'm finding the idea of a "cute" half-giant hard to get my brain around...

"Cute" as in "Big, Dumb, and Non-Threatening"
