#1drdenner_dupJul 28, 2007 17:43:05 | What is the name of the 5 Dragon Overlords? And what colors are they? I know the Blue one has settled north of Vingaard Keep, and has turned the place into a dessert, but where have the other Overlord settled down, and what have they done to the land around them? |
#2lancereaverJul 28, 2007 20:44:32 | Khellendros-Blue Malystryx-Red Beryllinthranox-Green And I know there's a black one and a white one, but I don't know they're names. |
#3DragonhelmJul 28, 2007 21:03:04 | Malystryx (Malys) - Red Khellendros (Skie) - Blue Beryllinthranox (Beryl) - Green Onysablet (Sable) - Black Gellidus (Frost) - White Possible War of Souls SPOILERS below. . . . . . . . . . . They have all terraformed the land around them, but they're all gone now. Frost was in Ergoth, which he made into a frigid wasteland. Beryl's rotting corpse is at the bottom of Nalis Aren, the Lake of Death. She created a lot of weird vegetation. Malys was around the Ruins, just outside of Kendermore, an area she made volcanic. Skie was in Solamnia, which he made into a desert. Sable was around New Sea, where the land was transformed into the New Swamp. That's the summary version. Hope that helps. |
#4zombiegleemaxJul 28, 2007 23:46:26 | Well Frost and Sable are still around as of cannon if I'm not mistaken. Malys and Skie were killed by Mina in war of the souls. and Beryl was killed by the elves fleeing Qualinost(sp). So two are still alive I think. The two least talked about and supposed to be the least two strongest of the 5. |
#5drdenner_dupJul 29, 2007 6:47:22 | Im playing just after the 2. catalyst where the Overlords have just come to Krynn... so i am gonna use most of this information in my game... thanks for the answers |

The two least talked about and supposed to be the least two strongest of the 5. Sable's fate is in Lake of Death by Jean Rabe, and Frost's fate is determined in the module Price of Courage by Cam Banks. Without giving away too many spoilers, let's just say that the era of the dragon overlords is at an end. |
#7lancereaverJul 29, 2007 13:31:18 | Woo! |
#8darthsylverJul 29, 2007 18:28:21 | The dragon overlords maybe, but there are still a few dragon lords around, none of course as powerful as the overlords. You still have the three that control parts of Nordmaar, Estwilde and Icereach. There are also a few in the Desolation if I remember correctly and possibly a few still in the northern wastes as well as Pyro in Mt. Nevermind. And of course let us not foget there are undersea dragons as well and some of them maybe dragonlords of undersea kingdoms. |
#9zombiegleemaxJul 30, 2007 14:36:49 | What is the name of the 5 Dragon Overlords? And what colors are they? The big five weren't the only dragons to establish regions of control. They were just the biggest and had the most territory at the end of the dragonpurge. There were actually a few metallic dragon lords. I'm not sure if you'd call them overlords but they did survive through the dragonpurge. The core SAGA book Fifth Age book one has a lot more info on the dragons at the beginning of the Fifth Age. You might also check out the SAGA supplement Wings of Fury as I believe it has some info on them as well. |
#10zombiegleemaxJul 30, 2007 23:27:06 | One of the regular dragonlord buys it in a module. |
#11cam_banksJul 31, 2007 7:40:24 | One of the regular dragonlord buys it in a module. Possibly even two of them. And in the previous module, another of them undergoes a dramatic change in his life. I left Pyro and the Twins in Icereach alone, but I definitely needed to include Cinder, Pitch, and Fume in the Age of Mortals adventures. They're important to the overall storyline. Cheers, Cam |
#12zombiegleemaxJul 31, 2007 8:23:57 | What is to happen to the minor ones that remain? |
#13cam_banksJul 31, 2007 17:34:36 | What is to happen to the minor ones that remain? I have no idea. There aren't any plans in the works that I'm aware of. Cheers, Cam |
#14clarkvalentineJul 31, 2007 21:13:03 | It's been suggested in Knightly Orders that the Legion of Steel has run out of patience with the dragonlords in Icereach and is plotting to take them down. Whether this ever gets beyond the planning stage is up to your individual campaign. |
#15zombiegleemaxAug 01, 2007 8:03:33 | I do remember that from the book on the knights. |
#16zombiegleemaxAug 02, 2007 11:35:15 | I busted out my SAGA books this past weekend and man are those little books packed with great info. The minor and major overlords are covered in all the boxed sets to a certain extent. There should still be 3 or 4 minor overlords out there. With PoC the last of the majors is gone. |
#17zombiegleemaxAug 02, 2007 14:45:10 | I think that there was a stat write up on them in the Dragonlance section of this board. |
#18drdenner_dupAug 02, 2007 19:50:19 | Realy.. i search and i cant find them |
#19zombiegleemaxAug 02, 2007 22:19:43 | They might also be on the Dragonlance webpage on the web enhancements section. |
