#1darthsylverAug 03, 2007 20:40:06 | Does anybody know what happened to the crown of power after the war of the lance? I don't remember any mention of it in the Legends series, so I am wondering where is it? |
#2zombiegleemaxAug 04, 2007 1:43:28 | I thought Kitiara and Soth took it. |
#3darthsylverAug 04, 2007 8:16:25 | But they never mentioned it in the legends series did they? And if they did do you remember anything about it? |
#4zombiegleemaxAug 04, 2007 13:10:13 | Last we see of it, IIRC, is the brawl that breaks out for it after Tanis tosses it into the gathering, after killing Ariakus. |
#5zombiegleemaxAug 04, 2007 14:34:01 | I thought that Soth and Kitiara walked out with it. |
#6lancereaverAug 05, 2007 1:13:07 | They did Trey. Kitiara had it in her hands as the Temple of Neraka fell. |
#7zombiegleemaxAug 05, 2007 9:38:05 | Hmm, I wonder why she didnt use it in her battle at Palanthus? |
#8darthsylverAug 05, 2007 15:32:35 | Precisely. That is what is causing me to wonder what happened to it. Did soth take it to dargaard keep for safe-keeping, was it stolen from her, did she make it out of Neraka with it, or what? |
#9clarkvalentineAug 05, 2007 16:05:30 | Maybe she just thought about the last couple of guys who used it, and how well it worked out for them. |
#10zombiegleemaxAug 10, 2007 17:15:50 | She was probably trying to come up with a way to ask her boyfriend Dalamar about any potential side effects it might have, ideally without letting on that she actually had the thing. Then the two of them had a domestic and that was that. Still, it's vague fate does create all kinds of adventure options now doesn't it? |
#11darthsylverAug 10, 2007 18:00:41 | Do think it was possible that she had the crown analyzed by a wizard to find out its abilities and the wizard made of with it? |
#12zombiegleemaxAug 10, 2007 21:06:35 | Anything's possible. The dragonarmies were extensive and she had Black Robes and dark clerics hanging around. |
#13zombiegleemaxAug 11, 2007 22:00:36 | I am wondering with Taki and Paladine both having an influence if it would be something that the other gods would want around or if it could be cleansed? |
#14rikkiwalkerAug 13, 2007 16:51:20 | I chalk it up to yet another inconsistensy that seems to dominate Dragonlance these days. |
#15darthsylverAug 13, 2007 18:11:34 | Why is it an inconsistency? Simply because Kitiara never used the Crown and we have not heard of it since the temple? Where is the inconsistency? |
#16zombiegleemaxAug 20, 2007 11:26:29 | I for one fail to see the inconsistency, though it would have been nice had she worn it in Palanthus. She might still be around if she had. |
#17orodruinAug 20, 2007 19:42:35 | Was the crown ever revealed to be magical? I always figured it's value was more symbolic than anything else. |
#18zombiegleemaxAug 21, 2007 11:25:28 | In 3.5 editions the Crown's abilities were listed. |
#19darthsylverAug 21, 2007 15:41:12 | I think Orodruin means, was it ever described as being magical in any of the novels. T he kender spoon of turning did not actually work (as far as we could tell) in the novels, but it somehow ended up a magical item in the sourcebooks. Of course knowing Tas, he probably did pick up a magical spoon. :D |
