I get the impression from the articles that the change won't be nearly as drastic as the change from the nightmare that was 2E to the clean, simple 3.5 rules. I just hope they don't make it too simplified.

I'm hoping WotC doesn't do something silly like pull the plug on fansites being able to make "official" content for settings, like Athas.org does for Dark Sun...

Especially since they (if I believe the above-mentionned article) are supposed to convert themselves an old setting per year.

Here comes D&D Saga Edition!
Personally, I think this could work with the generic D&D setting.
I don't, however think it'd work with settings like DS.
