Sep 08, 2007 17:32:32 Hello! I'm a Fan looking for a link to a site with either downloable canon info or/and fandom. also a RL lexicon if possible. looking for enough info to run it for my players.

Sep 08, 2007 18:35:29 The old Kargatane site was the official 2e Ravenloft site. Their Books of S____ are legendary. The Fraternity of Shadows is another great site. Another good one is The Lonesome Road, maintained by James Wyatt (but which hasn't been updated for seven years).

If you're planning on running RL, there are some core mechanics that need to be studied: powers checks, domains, and darklords. These three, more than any altered magic or new monsters, truly define Ravenloft.

Andrew Wyatt, actually. He stopped updating the Lonesome Road when the Kargatane snatched him away in the night.

Oops. Mea culpa. And apologies to the respective Wyatts'.

It's still a good website, especially if you know how to convert 2e to 3.x. That will certainly change when 4.0 comes out and less and less older edition fans start to play, though.
