Just a bit of a teaser from a DS character’s story I'm working on. Just gauging the interest levels. Yes, some of the words are Kreen.

Short Story Preview
“Hey ya’ girl, your bug friend isn’t soundn’ so good, it an’t gon’a make it much further.” Came from the scruffily looking human as he stumbled up the dune’s embankment towards a woman at it’s top.
“Werrik, you will address me as Klaxx’kha, not girl and you will address my friend by his name: Nnn'tkk. Otherwise I’ll remove your offensive tongue and return you to where I found you. Understand!” Was all the half-elf known as Little Stalker that Knows wanted to say. However there were more details that might be warranted.
“Well, what ya’ lookin’ at ‘den, Kaks’ahh”
“K-laxx-‘-kha, got it? What I’m look at is Axshias – he’s been hunting us with clutch.”
With a bit of alarm in his voice Werrik asked “Axe-ash, hunting us – who dah, why?”
“He’s a Gith chief my clutch has had problems with in the past.” she stated “His seeking of vengeance has blinded him”
Confused Werrik again asked “Blind huh, well ‘en ya’ should beable ta take ‘im, right?”
Klaxx’kha with the sly smile of a predator replied “I don’t need to Werrik, were all walking into sandstorm. It will, as you said, take him. Besides, where we’re going is just over that next outcropping of rock.”
“Den w’at?” Werrik asked.
“Then, you and your packmates leave with the food, water, and weapons I have given. Oh, I strongly suggest not seeking to Urik again – Templars will be on the hunt.” Klaxx’kha answered shaking her head.
“Well ‘den we...” Werrik managed as he looked about “Wha’! Dere is like a hundred Yith out dere!”
“More like sixty Werrik, don’t concern yourself – the desert will deal with them. Any survivors I’ll end.” Klaxx’kha coolly stated as she headed back towards the cart carrying what was left of her g’tok, the last of her family, Nnn'tkk the Tekchakak.

Well Knight of the White Rose (Love the name BTW)
The bad news is the story is not about a Thri-Kreen, it's about an Half-elf raised by a clutch of Thri-Kreen. The character dates back to 1993, we've desided to re-create her in 3.5 for a new trip into the land of the Dark Sun (thanks for your hard work Athas.org people). However the story is only about half written at this time, the section above will be near the end of part 3.

The Font is known as Papyrus, I had found other posts here with it and thought about the same thing "That looks Dark Sun like"

Athas.org you say... guys you accepting short stories?

Thanks for the praise, and I wouldn't mind posting the entire thing around here someplace.

It is. I've been using the font on the site, and for products, for years. If not this exact font, then one very much like it, was used for the original boxed sets.

Yes. We do have a fiction section, which hasn't been populated with new blood in a very, very long time.

Requirements and limits?
I currently have a little bit over 7000 words in 4 parts and I'm only about half to two thirds of the way through telling the story.

Found that a while ago, but thanks anyway Jaid.

Maybe I should rephrase the question to Flip as to what submission format is preferred for him?

Document, text file is fine. If you send it in HTML, please keep it simple and clean -- no inline styling, no font tags, no page framing. I can clean it up, but that takes time. Basically, that means don't "save as html" from word, because that produces just about the nastiest HTML I've ever seen, and it takes just this side of forever to clean up; I'd rather have the doc. Otherwise, I'm pretty flexible, especially where fiction is concerned.

Well as I have no idea how to use HTML you sould be save.

There are some parts that are Underlined or Italiced, the only way I know how to do that is the same way it's done here with bracketed and or and , would that be acceptable?
