Oct 10, 2007 20:20:53 Just wanted to drop a line to say hi. I'm new to the forums, though I've been a subscriber to the old DARKSUN-L list for quite a while. I run the City of Silt site which is (almost) all Balic all the time (not quite so true anymore, but it's improving.)

Due to a baby and two job changes this year, I haven't posted much new content to my site, but that has changed recently. I have started to post new items again, and have several more ideas for content in the upcoming weeks. An ill-fated update to ASP.NET 2.0 caused a few broken links, but I am working those out.

So what is in the future? Well, I am going to update the site organization, making it easier to use. I am going to implement search functionality as well, because I can't find some things that I'm looking for, which is pretty sad. And I noticed during my audit that there are several pages that don't have links to them, so there is is no way to get to these pages. That is not very useful.

Lastly, if there are any suggestions as to content that you would like to see added, let me know and I may add it to the "to do" list for the site.

Oct 11, 2007 19:49:25 Awesome. I must say I love your site, it is IMO the best Darksun website on the net (other than Athas.org perhaps). Have you considered compiling a pdf version of the information contained on your site for submission as an official DS release through Athas.org?

Oct 12, 2007 9:28:51 I second that! I find so much ideas on your site to run my own campaign in Balic... I've done a kind of compilation in a .doc document if you want.

For suggestions, I know there's a map on your site but it's difficult to access to it... maybe would be good to fix the link.

Oct 12, 2007 9:46:34 Btw, with Nibenay, Balic is probably the city where I plot most of my adventure. I like the feeling of this city.

I would love to get a better map someday, but the existing one will have to do for now. And I should publish a pdf version of my content at some time in the future. It would be pretty handy.

The City-State of Balic project listed on the Athas.org site is at least 90% new content, so there is very little overlap between my site and that project. A few people and place names is about all. It is roughly similar to the City-State of Draj in its formatting and content model. It is in review status right now, so after it has been evaluated and I get some feedback, it may require a bit more work before it is ready to see the light of day. But overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
