I'm creating some were-bugs for an adventure of mine. I plan on making one afflicted were-scorpion, a natural were-velvet ant (think wingless wasp) and a natural were-stinging/biting poisonious were-bug. Since the three are all from the same family, which was cursed (the oldest daughter is going to be similiar to a red widow, but not as powerful), having the same weapon and chemical weakness isn't a problem, but I thought that other people who were afflicted with their types of lycanthropy (or entomanothropy, as Wizards calls it) would have different ones. I unfortunately have been unable to find my 2nd ed. Van Ricten's Guide to Lycanthropes or the Monster Hunter's Compedium it's in. My plan was DR 15/bronze for the family and their chemical bane as vinegar. But I wasn't sure what the appropriate damage reductions and chemical banes would be for normal members of their entomanothropy. The types I'm planning on using are: Were-scorpion, Were-velvet ant, (possiblely were-spider,) and one other were-bug which I'm still working on. Some help would be appreciated.

Wow. The choices are just so varied...for werescorpions, a chemical bane might be yucca root and substance to overcome their DR could be obsidian or flint, a plant and materials sometimes found in deserts. If you use a Saharan scorpion phenotype a chemical bane might be saffron or frankincense.

Obsidian and saffron sounds good for were-scorpions. I've decided to use a were-spider, and a were-stag beetle. The velvet ant is a red wingless wasp, so it's basically a were-wasp without wings (or a flight speed). Thank you for your help.

Right, two of the children are supposed to be twins, so I've decided that the velvet ant's twin should be a were-wasp. The velvet ant is female in case that would matter.
