In the horror movie "santa's slay" santa claus is pictured as a deamon that lost a bet,my question is weather that would make a good prospect for a darklord?

Or even a powerful fey. As a Darklord this would restrict the observance of a core holiday such as Christmas since he couldn't go beyond his border, but I couldn't see why something like Yule would be celebrated all over in connection to the winter solstice. This could inspire a lot of fear to the children of the rest of the world about rumors of a crazed fey lord named Santa Claus who rewards the naughty or nice. While the children of Santa's domain know all to well who comes out for the night at the end of December. A shop of twisted fey, who make his toys and implements of terror, would just be to fun to create.

I'd say making him a free roaming entity though. Slap on a half-fiend template and he could go from domain to domain with impunity from other Darklords with his reality wrinkle riding on his fiendish reindeer pulled sley.

It's strange how some people talk about this idea every year. I think a better option would be a bogeyman fey. At least, that's what I'm going with. I hope to have some rough stats for a RL version of Santa, aka Dod Moroz/Peliznickel (Grandfather Frost/Furry Nicholaus) [Apologies to our Russian and German friends if the spelling is off)

Krampus appears to children as a tall, humanoid shape covered in shaggy white fur; some tales say that this is nothing more than a coat (it certainly appears that way to some), but this is his actual fur. His face is triangular and demonic looking with his left eye missing and his chin sports a full, long, white beard. Beneath this beard can be seen a wide evil grin that reaches his eye and a deep, hearty laugh can be heard. He rides a dire goat with eight legs and carries a sack on his back. The bag is unremarkable except that it always appears half-full regardless of what is put in or taken out of it. In addition, he also carries a hickory switch that upon closer examination shows traces of red that might be blood.
Like Mister Fox, Grandfather Frost is full of good humor and does occasionally leave presents for children free and clear of any curses (unlike Mister Fox), but he only does this under certain conditions (see Vulnerabilities). Otherwise, Grandfather Frost kidnaps naughty children and takes them to his workshop (usually in the northernmost location or most inaccessible natural location in a given domain). Of course, Grandfather Frost’s definition of being naughty is subjective, but usually the child is one that frequently disobeys his or her parents or is a bully to other children. He does torment other children on his nightly visits if he’s not appeased (see Vulnerabilities) hoping to encourage some future naughty behavior. The stories about him says that he kidnaps naughty children and takes them away as slaves where they will eventually become one of his minions (a jack frost or uldra, the transformation occurs during his period of inactivity). While he does have a rivalry with the Scissorman in places where their respective stories overlap, it is a twisted sort of friendly rivalry in competing to see who gets the most children (either by kidnapping or killing them).
Furry Nicholas (Pelznickel) is active only during certain times of the year. He starts to become active sometime after Halloween (or equivalent) and remains active through the winter solstice and through the first week of the new year. He’s active in the Frozen Reaches cluster and the Core. Within the Core, there are stories of him in Lamordia, Falkovnia, Mordent, Barovia, Kartakass, Nova Vaasa, Liffe, and Tepest. Strangely, despite being “crossroads of the Core” culture, there are no stories of him in Darkon.

I joked about running a Ravenloft Christmas campaign this year, but it never got off the ground. Still. I did formulate a tagline for it, and through chance, came across a very evocative line in a local production of a Christmas Carol.

My tagline: In a land where elves live in fear, Herr Klaus rules with an iron fist.

The line from the Christmas Carol: (I forget most of it, but it involved Scrooge being burried) "with a stake of holy in his heart.
