I want to start a thread about awesome DragonLance Campaigns. Now I have had the luck to play in a number of DL campaigns (2nd ed, saga, and 3rd ed) ... AND ... Never actually had to run it. Not that I wouldn't, but I haven't. This is the tale of my favorite DL campaign. [indent] Once upon a time there was a Kender that lived near the Glass Sea's of Taladas. He was a warrior. Tough as nails and meaner than snot. Not much meaner now mind you, but still meaner than your average booger. He occasionally served as a deck hand on glass sailing ships and one day he (and one of the sailors) saw a sight rarely seen on the face of Krynn. A spelljammer ship crashing. The two investigated the crash site and met some strange survivors. They claimed to be from another world "Toril" that the two Taladans had never heard of. With the aid of my kender and Vath's glass sea pirate we guided these strange shadow skinned elves ;) accross Taladas to the empire of the Minotaurs. There (after some "indescretions" and outright theft) a ship was commandered and the rag tag team set out for the "Mythical City" of Palanthus. Where the space sailors claimed to be heading. After braving many dangerous natural hazards they arrived at the shores of Palanthus. The two Taladans having no family or friends on Krynn decided to join their dark skinned travelers and enlisted as guards on a spelljammer. [/indent] Yeah - we didn't wanna play spelljammer - just a couple Drow Druids and Taladas Kender (and a Glass Pirate! ). For the life of me I can't remember their names. I think my Kender's name started with a T... hmmm..
