Dear friends, Mystarans,
I am DMing WotI very seriously now, more than ever, both via e-mail and on pen and paper.

I'd very much like to know as much as possible about 3 subjects:

1) Magic and radiance

How radiance affects magic, how the Glantrians use radiance on spellcasting, how Etienne achieved Immortality etc.

Atila and I are trying to create something new around this... green crystals that remained after 1.010 and all... heroes that use their powers etc.

I'm also personally VERY interested in Wild Magic. I thought on trying to link Radiance - and the green crystals - to it. What do u guys think?

2) Broken Lands

What has been happening there for the last decades?

3) School of Magecraft

I love the School of Magecraft concept (I even bought a general 2nd ed material about that... "School of Wizardry" was the name?), but I have so far found so little material about the Karameikan one...

I'd like to learn about OTHER Schools as well. Guess they have lots of them in Glantri and Alphatia?

----------------------

If you please could help me directly (here) or even point me books, magazines, web links etc I'd be very grateful.

If u have thoughts, house rules, customisations etc, please shoot! I'm not a canon maniac!

MANY THANKS!
Vini

Pretty much all the canon is in Gaz 3 and/or the Glantri Boxed set. Those with the right knowledge can build spells that let them manipulate magic with the help of the Radiance.

I think linking Wild Magic to the Radiance makes good sense. One could easily say Wild Magic is most powerful around Glantri due to the Radiance soaking into things.

Mostly pointless killing, but in recent years, King Thar has built up dominance over the area. And gotten turned into a vampire.

Marco put together a list of dfferent Mystaran schools (magic and otherwise) a while back, at http://pandius.com/mystuni.html. There's a decent amount about the Great School in Glantri in GAZ3 and the Glantri box set, and much of that material could be borrowed for use in any other magic school. Hope that helps!
