I was reading the 2nd edition accessory A Guide to Transylvania recently and came across a section of traditional sayings from Transylvania. Some of them I thought could easily fit Athas with little changes. So after making small changes to adapt them to Athas, here they are:

"Justice is as the templars will have it be."

"Kiss the hand you cannot bite."

"Do not expect the fields to plow themselves."

"The sun shines where and when it will. No man commands the dark sun."

"The man who goes to law often loses a carru to win a critic."

"Justice is as the templars will have it be."
The perfect urban saying.

"Kiss the hand you cannot bite."
Popular with Halflings I'd bet, maybe Kreen also.

"Do not expect the fields to plow themselves."
Common saying amongst the nobles and templars?

"The sun shines where and when it will. No man commands the dark sun."
Is this what you say to the Sun Priest just before he kicks your...

"The man who goes to law often loses a carru to win a critic."
Plays in nicely with the first one.

All and all, Love 'em.
