Hope that helps. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : diaglo Date : 10-30-03 09:29 AM it is like riding a bike... you fall down and scrape your knee all over again. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Shoegaze99 Date : 10-30-03 10:26 AM Originally posted by diaglo it is like riding a bike... DMing drunk? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Winternova Date : 10-30-03 01:20 PM I can't DM drunk - I can still run the game, but I tend to hand out magical items, and stat points like ecstacy at a rave. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Dogbreath Date : 11-01-03 08:36 AM Hey, Deadface-- I'm just now getting back into it, after 17 years myself. About a month back that is. I think the first thing to do is to decide which system you want to go with. I went with first edition, myself. I've limited myself to scoring all of the original first edition books, and I've added the MM2 just to bulk out the amount of book driven creatures. Do you have a group to play with, or are you rounding up some people? I've been slowly working on that myself, but as I've mentioned before, I'm being real picky to find individuals who want to play the "old style" way, and don't represent the type of individuals that don't have a life outside of the game! I don't know, me personally, I look through all the new AD&D books, and I suppose it's just because I grew up with something different, but it's seems to overly-detailed in a lot ways, as well as overkill on the presentation. Still the same ol' fun game I'm sure, I think it's just what you grow up with. So, I'd say pick out the editions you want to go with, stick to that, and start rounding up your basic books. Good news if you go first or 2nd ed.---stuff is CHEAP on ebay and other auctions. You can score everything you need for under 50 bucks.
