Another poster here, asked me which modules I considered the "must-haves" when it comes to getting setting information about Mystara.

It's a tough question, but I came up with this list:

Known World:
B10: Dark Night's Terror
X1: Isle of Dread
X10: Red Arrow, Black Shield
CM1: Test of the Warlords
M1: Into the Maelstrom

Hollow World:
HWA1: Nightwale
HWA2: Nightrage
HWA3: Nightstorm

Blackmoor:
DA1: Adventures in Blackmoor
DA2: Temple of the Frog
DA3: City of the Gods
DA4: Duchy of Ten

Perhaps others can help filling out the list?

They're not adventures, but the Known World gazeteers.

B6: The Veiled Society has a lot of info on Karameikos.

DDA1: Arena of Thyatis
DDA2: Legions of Thyatis
DDA3: The Eye of Traldar
DDA4: The Dymrak Dread

TR6: Rage of the Rakasta

Good list! Second nod to the gazetteers; they're fantastic and generally have adventure seeds that span all levels. And B10 is one of the best mods ever. It's like a mini campaign, as is X1, another classic.

The Hollow World boxed set is the definitive guide to Mystara. Seriously. In describing the history of the inner world, it gives a great timeline of the outer world.

It can't match the Gazetteers for detail (and they remain the all-time greatest D&D accessories ever), but as far as a primer to the world as a whole goes, it can't be beat.

Plus, it's cheap: FOUR BUCKS!!

Thanks for the response guys!

I agree about the Gazetteers and the Hollow World boxed set being the essential products for describing Mystara.

What I really was looking for in this thread though, were the Adventure Modules that give the most additional information about the setting.

B6: The Veiled Society has a lot of info on Karameikos.

DDA1: Arena of Thyatis
DDA2: Legions of Thyatis
DDA3: The Eye of Traldar
DDA4: The Dymrak Dread

TR6: Rage of the Rakasta

Good point about these. I especially agree about B6. I guess you are including TR6 because of the rules for Rakasta in that module?

Travis, B1-9 is also noted!

How about some of the following:

9051 X2 Castle Amber (Château d’ Amberville) - Glantri
9165 X11 Saga of the Shadow Lord - Wendar and Denagoth
9218 X13 Crown of Ancient Glory - Heldann and Vestland
9166 CM7 The Tree of Life - The Sylvan Realm
9214 M5 Talons of Night - The Isle of Dawn
