Bargle the Despised, Bargle the Hated, Bargle the Traitor, Bargle the Infamous. The most despised villain in all of the Mystaran world is on the verge of his Quest for Immortality.

In my own campaign, he has spent twenty years seducing Lady Magda (disguised as her pet wizard) causing her to invest her vast estate wealth to enchant as a flying island the Estate of Marilenev. Its departure escalated into the death of King Stephan Karameikos. He proceeded to kill Lady Magda.
The invasion of the Queens Mercenaries on the Day of Dread caused Bargle to deactivate the Artefact that kept the estate aloft and the Estate fell on Fletcher Reef south of Darokin. Many of the Raiding Mercenaries and all of the civilian populace perished in that tragedy.
Escaping death, Bargle eventually built his own flying Keep and abducted Aleena (having killed her husband). Though she was eventually rescued, he had broken her with his cruelty.
In a bid for Immortality he obtained an artefact of Alphaks (a ring of wish) which is recharged by killing Alphatian Wizards of 36th level and soaking the Ring in their blood. Over the Centuries that followed he used it to wish permanent a thousand volcanoes (gates from the plane of fire) across the Sunken Continent of Alphatia and caused a new Alphatia to rise from the Sea.

He is still out there questing toward Immortality. As an Epic Power Bargle the Infamous capable of plotting the downfall of weak Kingdoms and playing them off against his most hated homeland (Karameikos).

Any thoughts on the Villain's future Rise to Immortality?

That's an interesting development. Strangely enough, I've not brought Bargle into my recent Mystara campaigns, so he could very easily still be working secretly somewhere, preparing for a major move to grab at power.... Perhaps he's even been the power behind some of the villains my PCs have faced.
