Thread Title : Celestial Fury...

Does anyone know if 'real' rules for the Katana 'Celestial Rage' exists in 2nd Edition?

I mean the Weapon which you find in the Baldurs Gate 2 PC Game. I assume that anyone here does know the game. Many Items in this game has their 2nd edition counterparts (off course!) so I expected that the Celestial Fury also can be found... I searched a bit around but do not find any. My biggest hope was the 'Deck of Magit Items' and 'Volos Guide to all Things Magical' I own, but also in there I cannot find the Celestial Fury...

I am very interested about the background of this weapon and the rules (I assume they are roughly the same as in the game).

If Celestial Rage existed in 2e it wasn't in the DMG, Tome of Magic, or any of the Complete (Insert Class) Handbook (unless it was in the Complete Ninja's Handbook). That doesn't rule out its existence, but I would guess that it would be in a FR specific source if it exists at all.

The katana Celestial Fury can be found in the optional Watcher's Keep quest with the Throne of Bhaal expansion pack IRC.  It should actually be on the entrance level.

I can't remember where exactly Celestial Fury is in the game but it is definitely BEFORE The Watcher's Keep.

Imho, it's been created by the guys at Bioware.
If you wanted it for your 2E game, just use the stats from BG2, they're just fine :)

Hi, 

to all... Yes, I know where to find the Celestial Rage in BG2, but thanks anyway.. although I rememberd that it was located in the Slavers Guild in Athkatlas Temple District... It isn't in the Ninjas Handbook either... I do not own Oriental Adventures... maybe it is in there... but as a last ressort the stats from BG2 fit good enough in the 2nd edition rules...
