This PC is a bit cheesy but he will come up in a game where only two people are playing so as a matter of fact they need to be good as possible... Paladin Samurai Such a combination is ONLY thinkable if one bend the rules a bit... In the Warriors Handbook it is stated that you can combine Paladin Class with one of the Warriors Kits (this counts as a single class). So to fit the background for this PC I combined the Paladin Emissary Kit with the Warrior Samurai Kit and finally get this Paladin Samurai PC... The background: He is a emissary from Kara-Tur and is stationery in any given town in the Realms. Maybe Suzail or similar big as he is important. He is a awesome fighter and also good a bonded mount which for the better picture is not an normal horse instead it is someting like a flying serpent. No dracoform off course but something like a low leveled Wyrm or similar. Please I understand HE IS POWERFUL... maybe too powerfull... but I found the idea itself too charming... Let me know what you think... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Hiryu Date : 01-22-04 01:56 PM Well, for starters, this is a character I would never accept at my table. As a rule of thumb, I never allow Paladins, Samurais, Druids, Monks, Ninjas and War Mages to multiclass. That said, I think the character sounds intresting. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : YORIDOL Date : 01-22-04 02:07 PM Thats interesting because the other day I looked in PHB 1d and I tried to find were druids couldn't multi-class. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Hiryu Date : 01-22-04 02:12 PM No, in paper Druids ARE allowed to multiclass... I just don't allow it because it doesn't make sense to me. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : YORIDOL Date : 01-22-04 02:14 PM What about a Ranger/Druid? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Karn1 Date : 01-22-04 04:59 PM i dont think what he is saying here is a multiclass? its only one class with *2* kits. its like combining a paladin with the myrmiddon, my dm wont accept that paladin combine with a warrior kit because he can come too much powerfull but the paladin samurai sound fun. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Wyrmbane Date : 01-29-04 10:12 PM Thread Title : Kits I don't think you can take multiple kits. Can you imagine a Scrivner/Galantrian mage? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : Wyrmbane Date : 01-29-04 10:12 PM Thread Title : Kits I don't think you can take multiple kits. Can you imagine a Scrivner/Galantrian mage? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : Sildatorak Date : 01-30-04 02:32 PM Nope, you can't take two kits. So a paladin (Emissary/Samurai) is not within the rules. A straight up Paladin (Samurai) is acceptable, though, without stepping outside the rules. I also couldn't find the kit "emissary" I think you may mean "Envoy." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 10] Author : Karn1 Date : 01-30-04 04:30 PM yea its true, i was talking about subclass of warrior (like paladin and ranger) + a kit of a warrior. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 11] Author : Wyrmbane Date : 01-30-04 10:50 PM Thread Title : Kits Have you checked the Paladin Handbook? You'd be suprised what kits they have there. You might also look in the Humanoids handbook and see what kits they have for Saurians. After perusing the accessories, I'm of the mind that there are very few things you couldn't be. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 12] Author : Kilamar Date : 01-31-04 11:00 PM I rate it as a D, for the effort. Maybe you should think about something more interesting.
