Thread Title : Need some help...

Hiya folks, I tried searching for info about these, and even checked out a couple of collector sites, but I just cant seem to find any info about these 3 books.

Three books, softcover, one red, one green, one blue or brown(? I cant remember). They were filled with artifacts, magic items, etc. 

Mine were swiped in 96, so if that timeframe helps, there it is. Anyone who knows the name of those books, please post it here.

Sounds like the Encyclopedia Magica to me. Actually there were four, brown red, green, and blue, I think in that order. Containing every magical item then published, updated to the current system.

I know at least some of them are available for pdf download, and I occasionally see one or two in a hobby shop.

IIRC, those things cost a petty prenny...pritty pony...portly prawny...uhh, they were expensive.  Must've been a pain having them stolen.  Heck, I went nuts when somebody stole three of my least-favourite dice!

I got all four of those, plus the four books that detailed all the magical spells in 2E.  

In my opinion, the fourth volume of the Magica series was the best.  I think it was volume IV.... it's the one with the blue cover.  That's the ones with "Swords" in it.  Get that one first.

I know of at least two places on line that carries lots of 1 and 2e stuff, most of the later stuff is easily obtainable.  I've yet to see the Priest Compendiums, Mage Compendiums, or Encyclopdia Magica's not be availible.

And E-bay isn't one of them.
