It includes rules for playing Malpheggi Lizardmen and new rules for a dinosaur cult of Ka. Also an earlier issue (#315?) had lots of Mystara stuff, including the Defilers of Ka plus Savage Coast, Cynicidea and Blackmoor info. I for one am happy to see that Mystara has not been forgotten and I am really hoping to see more such material in Dragon in the future. Has anyone else read the articles? Opinions? Havard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : tjedge1 Date : 04-06-04 06:31 PM I haven't seen them as I don't get Dragon magazine. :( Any chance you could post the info here? That might be asking a bit much. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Hugin Date : 04-06-04 06:37 PM I've seen #315 and I admit I thought it was cool to see new Mystara material. However I doubt I'll ever use any of that material IMCs. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. As for #318 I haven't seen it. Sounds interesting though. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Marc Date : 04-06-04 09:41 PM It is great to see material in dragon, however, I was dissapointed in the topics they chose to present. I'm not sure how they came to the decision, possibly because they had previous material that they could rehash and convert. There wasn't anything particularly 'new' about the articles. If dragon were to issue further articles on Mystara I would like to see them in the form that would not only satisfy the current following but maybe attract those who don't know much about the setting. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Hugin Date : 04-06-04 11:55 PM There wasn't anything particularly 'new' about the articles. Very True. I should have said "it's good to see Mystara material in current publication". Ya... that's it. Most young gamers have no clue about Mystara, et al, so it's nice to see these articles, even if all it does is arouse curiousity. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : katana_one Date : 04-07-04 08:03 PM The Mystara articles in Dragon #315 were discussed in this thread: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=99753 If I recall correctly, the general consensus was that the Red Steel article was the only one worth reading. I hope the stuff in #318 is better. I will have to take a peek at it the first chance I get. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:23 AM.
