Quite a few (a majority, actually) of the collector's checklists I find list these two books as being ad&d first edition, though the copies I own clearly have 2nd edition on the covers. A second printing maybe? Error? :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Wyrmbane Date : 05-04-04 09:02 PM Are you referring to the Encyclopidia Magica? That's 2e. There was another item like that, can't recall the name of it now. It was two thin module like "books" that had the listing of almost every magic item to that point and where to find it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Falstaff the Fighter Date : 05-04-04 09:53 PM "The Magic Encylopedia" was 1e, and was an appendix of where to find certain items (Not a collection of items itself.). The "Encyclopedia Magica" was 2e, and was a collection of items. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Stonebeard Date : 05-05-04 08:19 PM I can't quite recall the name but there was something very similar if not the think your looking for in OD&D. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Kheldren Date : 05-06-04 03:08 AM The OD&D version was "AC4 The Book of Marvellous Magic". I just bought both volumes and the magic encyclopedia are second edition, not first. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:20 AM.
