Thread Title : Dark Sun Encumbrance

Something hit me like a ton of bricks during one of my game sessions last night....the 2e material for DS has no encumbrance charts!
Not only is the strength chart for DS different from the one found in the PHB but the encumbrance information in the PHB is only listed up to 18 strength anyway. Did I miss this information someplace or did anyone ever write up expanded encumbrance charts for the 2e world of Dark Sun? Thanks for the help. :)

Well, there isn't much in the way of Possesions in Darksun anyway :D

Now that is a very good point. ;) But at least one of my characters is already in the "light" row but his strength is low enough to be covered in the PHB. I'm just going to have to expand the chart myself I think. I've already converted all the PHB equipment lists to DS prices so why not? :D

about 500 ceramic pieces for a basic metal Short sword I believe and like most non- precious metal coinage ceramic pieces can be worthless to anyone that don't honor them (like trying to use Yen  or Dinars in the local 7-11 where only American Paper money  and coin is accepted)

Something like that, I just didn't want my players to have to go through all those conversions every time they purchased something so I wrote up a DS equipment list which includes prices for every type of material, etc. I've even converted the DS weapons to metal (though why anybody would buy them I'll never know). :)

Ok, in addition to equipment list conversions for the Dark Sun campaign I have also taken care of the encumbrance issue. I've also expanded the PHB encumbrance charts all the way to 25 in case you ever need to know what a storm giant can carry around. ;)
