Sadly, creatures in that book do not appear in Allston's Rules Cyclopedia, nor are they in Morris, Gallagher & Brambra's Creature Catalog. The creature appears to be a regular planet but is considered to be an actual living thing. It says in its description that it has an active phase and a dormant phase(an ice age, I guess). I believe it's somewhere near the beginning part of the Monsters sections, maybe even the first page or first creature. I just want to know it's name. It may also have I second name in its description; I would also like to know if it does. Please help me or please give me a link if there's a place I can go to find it myself. - thank you, Barry -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : havard Date : 08-14-04 04:36 PM The creature you are referring to is IIRC a Megalith. In the monster description it was speculated to whether the D&D Known World was actually a Megalith named Urth. There has been several discussions on various Mystara forums to whether this concept can be reconciled with the later developments of the setting such as the Hollow World. Hope that helps :) Havard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Barrok Date : 08-14-04 06:44 PM Thread Title : A Megalith! Thank you very much, that IS what I was looking for. So the creature is called a Megalith, yes? What exactly is IIRC? Perhaps, another name for it in it's description? Again, a thousand thanks Havard. Your help is greatly appreciated, the last time I asked a question on here, I had to wait a year for a response. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : vader42xx Date : 08-14-04 07:35 PM Actually "IIRC" is If I Recall Correctly in net-shorthand and thanks to you for bringing up an old favorite. I'll have to go read over that creature description again myself. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Algolei Date : 08-15-04 11:22 PM Thread Title : Re: A Megalith! This is the OOP board. Originally posted by Barrok Ps. what's a Grog? GROG was the name of a poster in that original thread. GROG said: Originally posted by GROG Cipher has the star trek ccg online. played until the MTGO went beta. its an ok game. Then Cherno said: Originally posted by Chern hmmmm, did someone forget to switch back to their normal board account from the grog account? /me puts bets on Piemaster. He/she was suggesting that the poster named Piemaster had another board name called GROG, and had forgotten to switch back from GROG to Piemaster before posting. I don't know what led Cherno to this conclusion. But that's what Chern meant. Then His Divine Shadow chimed in with his/her suggestion: Originally posted by His Divine Shadow I though Grog might be Goblin Grenade, from this post (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1179899#post1179899). I'm probably wrong tho'... I don't know why His Divine Shadow would think that, either. Then a small number of posters agreed that it was probably Piemaster (or "Pie" for short). And then I logged on, came here, and read all of that before posting this statement, which ends right about...here. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Barrok Date : 08-16-04 10:06 AM Damn you're good. Great detective work, thank you Algolei. They need more people like you over on that board. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : diaglo Date : 08-16-04 10:14 AM Algolei is the ah.....
