I'm looking for the original Planescape box set just to get a better feel of the setting.  Where can I get it online, preferably in .pdf format?

Both of these sites have the original Planescape setting in pdf format for sale for around $5 US.

If you decide to go with svgames to purchase it, they have a downloads sale  link on their main page where you can get a coupon which would make the price about $4.50 US.
