Ok, about 10 years ago a module came out that was like a special anniversary module for characters level 20+. There was a warning on it that you should not play with your favorite characters as they would most likely die. I was reading through it and there were instant death traps and all, but it was too long ago for me to remember what it was really about. I know it is vague, but does anyone out there know what I am talking about? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Borrowed Thyme Date : 10-30-04 01:45 AM Thread Title : This module I have no real idea of the name of it, but did it happen to have a sphere of annhililation in it? I think I remember reading about some module that was a real killer like that, not sure it's name though, sorry. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : ScottyG Date : 10-30-04 08:48 AM I believe Labyrinth of Madness is the adventure you are looking for. And you may be speaking of the Tomb of Horrors. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : kengar Date : 11-01-04 09:09 AM ooooo! sweet nourishing Tomb of Horrors ;) iirc, that one was never really intended for campaigns, it was a tournament style module to test your skills in a incredibly deadly crawl where there were few monsters and hideously lethal traps everywhere. Our group played that once when I was 13 with our normal characters and the DM pretty much said at the start "This isn't part of the campaign. When your PC dies -and he will- he won't be dead 'for real'." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Bahamut Date : 11-12-04 12:13 PM Two options: 1. Return to the Tomb of Horrors - Came with the original module as well. Very deadly with tons of traps and you could quite possibly lose your favorite characters. 2. The Apocalypse Stone - While I don't think this was an anniversary adventure, it does basically destroy your existing campaign world and is meant for high-level characters. I think you are probably thinking of Return to the Tomb of Horrors though. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : ScottyG Date : 11-12-04 02:50 PM Labyrinth of Madness came out 10 years ago, was for high level characters, was loaded with death traps, was a 20th aniversary adventure, and had a warning about bringing your favorite character. I'm pretty sure he's talking about Labyrinth of Madness. Hope that helps. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : failhelm Date : 11-29-04 05:16 PM I had a 4 character party during a campaign survice Tomb of Horros, of course it took 3 wishes and alsmost destroyed the party, but hey that's what high level adventuring is all about. An awsome module btw, I did expect my players to die, but they got smart fast. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:16 AM.
