I would say that my favorite mod would be keep on the boarder lands. Not the orginal, but the 25th version. I was pretty good. It's about a evil fat person trying to take people captive, and hold them rasom. Then he tries to raise a dead army of zombies, but of course we stop them. kelly -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : cerebus Date : 12-16-04 09:44 PM B2 is my favorite, too. The original, that is. My next fave is The Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun which I intend to run next. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : TheDungeonDelver Date : 12-16-04 11:39 PM Currently it's shaping up to be G1 Steading of the Hill Giant Chief. It's what I'm conducting right now (and for a nice change I've got plenty of players!) B2 Keep on the Borderlands does have a special place in my heart, though. So much so to the point that I got Gary to autograph a copy for me at Milwaukee Gamefest this past summer. Of course, you can't forget a classic like WGH3 Into the Howling Hills :D :D :D All kidding aside, another great module is T1 Village of Hommlet. I've never ever really cared for Temple of Elemental Evil, but T1 is great. A1 through A3 are very good as well, but while I find A4 interesting, I don't like it's almost 2e-like railroad to get the PCs there. I say: if they win at the end of A3, they win. If they don't, they're toast. I've always wanted to play the S4/WG4 dyad; perhaps if the party survives the G/D series I'll run that pair as a conclusion. What's that, you say? No Q1 Queen of the Demonweb Pits? That totally depends on how far the party falls for Eclavdra's scheme to get high level characters to off Lolth thus tipping the balance in Eclavdra's house's favor! Anyway. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : boschdevil Date : 12-17-04 01:09 AM I always had The Sinister Sercet of Saltmarsh as well as [/i]Against the Cult of the Reptile God[/i] as my favorites. But I do like B2 ... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Petrankov Date : 12-20-04 11:52 AM Night of the Walking Dead for Ravenloft. I've run it three times. Once adapting it for another game. Ran so well every time. I always though Vecna Lives would be cool to play in or run. But haven't done Greyhawk in years. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Torack Date : 12-20-04 12:09 PM So far, I'd have to go with T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil. I haven't run that many module games, so I don't consider myself to be yet in a position to firmly point and say: That one and that one only, but yeah. T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil definetly tops the list at the moment. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Kamelion Date : 12-20-04 02:10 PM Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh was great. Vecna Lives was awesome. Ran that one through in a single 24-hour session because the players refused to go home until it was done. And the Desert of Desolation trilogy (especially Lost Tomb of Martek) was a blast. Still, in the end it's always Castle Amber that gets my vote. That adventure is just a monster - love it to bits. (Nearly made the list: Ravenloft, Dragon's Crown and Dungeonland - because it is so horrible). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : kengar Date : 12-20-04 02:33 PM I don't normally run modules, but I think the original B2 gets my vote as well. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : Elendur Date : 12-20-04 06:07 PM TheDungeonDelver: I too am running G1, look for my thread over in the Greyhawk forum. I'd love to hear how your game is going. B2 is my favorite module -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 10] Author : TheDungeonDelver Date : 12-20-04 11:17 PM TheDungeonDelver: I too am running G1, look for my thread over in the Greyhawk forum. I'd love to hear how your game is going. B2 is my favorite module What ruleset are you using? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 11] Author : Elendur Date : 12-21-04 11:39 AM I'm using 3.5, which is why I post over on the Greyhawk forum. Discussing the sessions doesn't usually get into rules details, but in case it does I don't want to get flamed for tainting the OOP board. We're almost done with G1, I'll post a wrap up when we do. Funniest thing that happened last time was the dwarven tank charging into the room with the fire giant smiths, who promptly picked him up, threw him on the hot coals and started using him for blacksmith practice. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 12] Author : diaglo Date : 12-21-04 12:15 PM B1 In Search of the Unknown :D -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 13] Author : RobertFisher Date : 12-21-04 03:31 PM Unfortunately, I still don't know a lot of the modules. Among those I know, I guess its between B2 & S1. B2 teaches you so much that didn't make it in the rule books. S1 teaches DMs how high level characters can be truly challenged & gives players a challenge that can require using every resource they have available. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 14] Author : boschdevil Date : 12-22-04 08:04 PM B1 In Search of the Unknown :D Actually, I love this one as well since it really helps a DM learn how to create a dungeon, not just follow a module. Bsides, it's never the same thing twice. :D -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 15] Author : Gadodel Date : 12-25-04 04:34 PM Against the Giants. It can be placed on any world and can be used against any group of characters. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 16] Author : Elthurien Date : 12-28-04 12:17 PM So far, I'd have to go with T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil. T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil definetly tops the list at the moment. I'd have to agree, T1-4 (mainly T1) would have to be my most memorable adventure, i've played it three times and DM'd it once. When i get back from Iraq i'm planning on starting a new campaign with a couple of newbies and using T1-4 by the original timeline (i may even introduce the pc's to a young and mischievious Robilar). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 17] Author : Xx Spider xX Date : 01-10-05 12:12 AM I can name a number of them that I really enjoyed either running or playing in: *T1-4: The Temple of Elemental Evil *IM1: The Immortal Storm *IM2: The Wrath of Olympus *WGA4: Vecna Lives *FRC2: Curse of the Azure Bonds *RM4: House of Strahd *Q1: Queen of the Demonweb Pits *?: Die Vecna Die! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 18] Author : WizO_Paradox Date : 01-10-05 10:17 PM Keep on the Boarderlands was neat. I also liked Castle Amber, the Lost City, and Quest for the Heartstone. There also was the Veiled Society. I had a bunch of other modules, but I got to the point then that I would rather make up my own adventures. Thus, I didn't pick up all the Planescape modules when I had the chance. (Side note: I did pick up every module in another game system, however.) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:15 AM.
