Does anybody here know anything about either? And who is Natoka? My copy of the GAZ is at home in another city (want PDF now!) but I definitely recall both names - although I could swear it was Latoka's Grave. I think they're mentioned in either the history writeup or the adventures section. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Cthulhudrew Date : 02-24-05 07:38 PM The Broken Lands map shows two sited that I can't find info about them in the GAZ - Natoka's Grave and the Sacred Cavern. Does anybody here know anything about either? And who is Natoka? Natoka's Grave is a "deserted plateau" covering "Red Orcland between two mountain ranges. [It] is notorious for being the red orcs' sacred burial grounds, as well as a strange place w[h]ere large rocky pillars rise straight up from the ground, supporting huge, flat stones. Hordes often set camp atop these columns." The Sacred Cavern is the Supreme Hool's fortress, and "opens up in the southern mountain range. It is the main entrance to Lower Orcland." -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Geogrere Ziacara Date : 02-25-05 06:55 PM The Nakota(Dakota/Lakota("the allies") or Sioux) were a real-world Native American nation that occupied what is now western Ontario and eastern Manitoba before 1200AD and western Manitoba and eastern Saskatchewan before 900AD in Canada. After they split into three groups and spread through North America. Crazy House was a famous Chief. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Cthulhudrew Date : 02-25-05 09:29 PM Crazy House was a famous Chief. I think you mean Crazy *Horse*. ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Hugin Date : 02-25-05 09:50 PM I think you mean Crazy *Horse*. ;) That's hilarious! I even read it as horse and didn't even notice or think twice! Goes to show you how we don't look at all the letters when we read, eh! Or type for that matter. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Thorf Date : 02-26-05 03:58 AM Thread Title : Hehehe Me too. When you're reading fast, the fact is that you read in words, not letters. And since word recognition starts with the first letters of a word of phrase, combined with the overall shape, it's easy to read typos and spelling errors as correct. The reason is that as soon as you have recognised the phrase, you move on. Crazy Horse is a phrase that is probably recognisable to us just by the Cr___ H____ structure. Thus, if you're reading fast, Cresy House or other such crazy spellings might well slip by you. ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : Geogrere Ziacara Date : 02-26-05 09:16 AM Crazy House was a famous Chief. OOPS!! I guess that's what happens when you try to eat dinner and type at the same time. lol -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : Lost Woodrake Date : 02-26-05 12:32 PM OOPS!! I guess that's what happens when you try to eat dinner and type at the same time. lol Yeah... Also happens when you type with your two-year-old son on your lap (either that or suddenly you see some "ccccccccccccccjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj444444444nnnnnn" on the screen). :D Anyways, thanks for all the info. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:28 AM.
