Hello, I have purchased several OOP Modules (the Slave Lord Series) and am getting the Drow Queen module series (G,D an Q modules) for the entire series of adventures! I am currently runing a game using theHARP (http://www.harphq.com) system. Several people have played the Drow Queen module and others are DnD 3.5 Gurus, and as such I dont want to run these modules in Dnd rules or settings as they will be picked apart by these rules lawyers in seconds and the entire fun of the modules will be lost when I throttle the life out of these players... and dead players does not a fun module make. ;) As such, I wish to convert these modules to HARP rules. I want to rewrite them with rules for HARP creatures and monsters, Generic gods, possibly modifying maps, etc and whetever else I have to. My question is this: I wish to republish these as free adventures and I want to know if I need to seek permission for the extremely modified adventures that will be resulted from these. I am not seeking to make any money or fame from these and they will not be sold for anything - simply posted on the net. The end modules will be for the HARP game and using the description that this game system uses. The stats for the creatures and number of will be modified and different, but the underlying adventure synopsis and purpose will be the same, thus I dont want to be sued for publishing free adventure for a 20+ oop module that I'm publishig for free. Heck these modules are fantastic and more light should be shed on how good they are. If I can get interest back in them by republishing them, then I think it should be done... Does anyone know who should be approached for permission? Wizards? Hasbro? David Cook or Gary Gygax?? Thanks in advance form a Long time DnDer and roleplayer! They licensed out the AD&D line to Kenzer, for use in their Hackmaster game, under the conditions that thet modules were "hacked" Technically, you could rewrite everything in your own words, and be in hte clear, but they can afford more lawyers than you can. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:18 AM.
