Thread Title : AD&D 2n Edition Wizard Tower

I was wondering, I am a 12th Level Mage and I am thinking about building my first mage tower. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good resources on how I should build it etc. Seeing how I have no idea on what to do with Mage Towers.

Well, our man MysteryofTime didn't seem entirely sure what to do with his Tower, which unless he's got more gold than he knows what to do with (entirely possible of course), I thought there might be better things he could do with his money.

Just out of curiousity, does you DM have and home rules for building structures and such? Are you looking for ideas or just books to help you through it?

As your DM if you can seek out a designer and a construction crew...then HE has to RP it up and come up with the plans.

How much money are you willing to spend?
Is this to be a fortification type tower or an out-of-the-way-scary-wizards-tower?
Where do you plan on having it? What type of civilization setting?
You want to do research so you know you need a lab. what sort of things are you going to need? What sort of things are you going to research?

Give us more details man! :)
