For PC classes these (remembering that they were designed to be NPC classes) are actually not bad. They are underpowered in relation to the other classes, except that some of them can advance rather rapidly hence balancing some of that out. One of the favorites is the guide. They have the Warrior's THAC0 but only 1d8 HD and misses out on other bonuses, BUT, with the quick advancement of THAC0 along with guide abilities, can seem quite balanced overall. The added bonus of course is that they don't seem to have a racial level limit, though if one wanted to MC that part gets really vague. Anyone else have experience doing this or allowing this in a 2e game in the past (or present if you currently are running a 2e game)? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Warhead Date : 09-18-05 02:17 AM I've always liked the S&S classes, and have had a long term plan to work them into the "allowed classes" of my campaign,...so I'd say yes, go for it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:17 AM.
