Thread Title : Hm... blast from the past.

I'm looking for some 2nd Edition rules.  I'm very rusty with the 2nd Edition game, and I'm supposed to play in a campaign shortly.

Problem is, this one is actually an online one with a few friends of mine who all live in various areas.  So I have no access to any 2nd Edition books!  Is there anything like an SRD for 2nd Edition?  I haven't seen one on wizards, but maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

Or, am I just flat outta luck?  Perhaps the DM will upgrade my character for me, heh!

There's no such thing as an SRD for 2nd Ed stuff. There are some old 2nd Ed books for download on Wizard's site, but not the "core" system books (ie PHB, DMs guide), it's all adventures, setting boks, etc, so they probably won't be of much use (unless you happen to be playing in one of the settings, then they may come in handy).

You can probably find some 2nd Ed books for cheap though, if you look a bit, either through a local gaming store, online store, or ebay (although I haven't looked, so i could be wrong).

RPGnow.com and DriveThruRpg.com are the suppliers of official downloads.  I don't think Drivethrurpg.crap has any 2nd edition, so you're probably going to want to take a look at RPGnow.

You'll probably be able to pick up the 2nd ed PHB on ebay for very little. You might want more, like the appropriate complete handbook, but I rekon all you need as a player is the PHB.

Whoops!  Sorry, Paradox.  I thought that perhaps you guys had taken this forum out with the revision of everything.  Apparently it was just hidden from me.  Thanks.

Go to Bearshare.com, you can get a PDF of 26 AD&D 2nd ed. books in one big file.
