New magic items, feats and house rules will be coming soon. I also have plans to convert some of the early adventures of our campaign into modules, although this is proving somewhat difficult as our game mixed original content with published material and I don't want to overstep the copyright mark any more than I am already (i.e. "borrowed" images etc.). For those of you who do enjoy reading accounts of our adventures, there will soon be regular weekly write ups of our current adventures - I am going to put in a placeholder for the big chunk of time which represents adventures not yet written up. If anyone has any comments about the site I'd love to hear from you James waferthinninja -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : havard Date : 01-22-06 09:48 AM Very nice website James! The site is beautiful, and contains alot of useful information, both for your players and for other fans. I wouldnt worry about having the stories from your campaign in there, it adds a personal touch. I am glad you will be adding more general stuff as well though :) I noticed that some of the graphics looks a bit skewered, especially the pic of King Stefan and the M-logo. But maybe thats just on my comp? Håvard :-) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : katana_one Date : 01-22-06 10:42 AM Hey, nice name for your website. http://www.angelfire.com/games4/mystara -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : waferthinninja Date : 01-22-06 01:25 PM Hey, nice name for your website. http://www.angelfire.com/games4/mystara LOL! It was actually originally called Mystaran Chronicles, but I figured people would search for 'Mystara' rather than 'Mystaran'. I'll change it back! Can you send me a screenprint to waferthinninja@mystara.co.uk to show how it looks for you? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : havard Date : 01-23-06 09:49 AM Hmm graphics are okay for me - although the M-logo is not as clear as it might be. Can you send me a screenprint to waferthinninja@mystara.co.uk to show how it looks for you? Actually it is just the M-logo that looks a bit more narrow than it usually appears. Stefan looks fine now, so that might just have been the logo that threw me off. I'd send you a screenprint, but I have no idea how to do that :( Håvard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : waferthinninja Date : 01-23-06 11:26 AM Thread Title : Graphics If you visited the site before I revamped it, you might have had a different sized version of Stefan cached away, and your browser was using that and just resizing it rather than load the new smaller version. Images look rubbish when the browser resizes them. The logo *is* actually a bit narrower than it should be. The whole site used to be wider, but I narrowed it so it would display without scrolling for people using 800x600 resolution. I took a shortcut and just resized the header images horizontally, so the logo is slightly squished. I've never been that happy with the image quality of the logo anyway, so when I get around to finding/scanning a better quality version I will replace it and make it the correct proportions. You know when you are a Mystara addict when... you can tell that the logo is squished :) Thanks for the feedback. But you've fixed it now havent you? It looks better to me at least. Let us know when you make more updates? I particularly enjoyed the header image on your "Maps" pages. :P ;) The maps you provide are quite impressive. Did you make them yourself? I noticed you linked to Dundjinni - do you use that program, and if so, could you tell me what you think about it? I was particularly impressed by this map (http://waferthinninja.clawz.com/maps.php?map_id=4&map_name=Karameikos). Would it be possible to get a higher quality version? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 11] Author : waferthinninja Date : 01-27-06 05:16 AM Nice site there, James. Your header map is now properly attributed. :) I think your maps are fantastic, but restrained myself to stealing just a bit of one :D You have a link on the links page too, have had for a while. Not sure where I got that Karameikos map from - a random internet search I think. I liked it a lot too, unfortunately thats the best quality version I have. The Rugalov, Boscovitch and Hammer and Flame maps were done in Dundjinni. It can make some nicer maps than I can manage. If you go to the forums on their website some people have posted some really great ones. I have a lot of performance problems with it though, certain things really slow it down to the point of frustration - despite having a monster PC which should have no problems. The maps I posted the other day - the flooded cavern, Cristof's lair etc. were actually drawn by one of the players during the play sessions! He also drew the Vorischev and Gnoll Stronghold maps for an adventure he ran. He has had a few maps published. I have whipped people into a productive frenzy and I have a backlog of stuff to put up. There are about 10 adventure writeups coming soon (working backwards from the more recent ones), and from now on our weekly session writeup should be up - we play Sundays so the writeups will be up Monday - Tuesday if I am being lazy. Also coming soon are items and artifacts, regional traits, new factions, and the players are doing writeups for their main characters. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:24 AM.
