Voyage of the Golden Dragon: The Golden Dragon, conceived as a skyfaring warship, now serves as a symbol of peace among the Five Nations. Even before the luxurious airship embarks on its maiden voyage, nefarious pirates, thieves, and saboteurs conspire to defame, steal, or destroy it. Resourceful adventurers are needed to protect the ship and its passengers, but can they uncover the secret enemy lurking in their midst? The above was cut&pasted from http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20060201a&o= Basically, it is a new adventure module for Eberron. Does this sound like a total rip off from the Voyage of the Princess Ark or what? OTOH, it might be interesting to steal and use with Mystara.... Håvard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Thorf Date : 02-22-06 06:58 PM Well, do remember that the Princess Ark was a bit of a rip-off of Star Trek, before that. Bruce even included some Star Trek in-jokes at various points - and remember that at that time The Next Generation was a very popular show. But you're right, it does sound like it could be interesting. Maybe we could steal it. ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : MrFilthyIke Date : 02-24-06 12:50 PM Well, Eberron has had skyships since day 1 in 2004... ;) But yeah, it's a popular theme in general. I may run it more like the pleasure ship from The Fifth Element myself. ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Nightdruid Date : 02-24-06 12:54 PM Sounds like a cross between the Hindenberg & the Titanic to me...;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : MrFilthyIke Date : 02-24-06 01:09 PM Sounds like a cross between the Hindenberg & the Titanic to me...;) What goods is a giant boat in D&D unless its ass sinks. ;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Nightdruid Date : 02-24-06 01:13 PM What goods is a giant boat in D&D unless its ass sinks. ;) Or consumed in a gigantic fireball...;) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : MrFilthyIke Date : 02-24-06 01:15 PM Or consumed in a gigantic fireball...;) Or (to steal someone else idea) the Omnielemental (MMIII) breaks loose and the ship plummets to the ground. :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:24 AM.
