The stats are rooled but they are not attribued yet. My Stats are : 15, 14, 9, 15, 14, 15, from those we can do a 2 for 1, so i can lower 2 points in stats to gain 1 point. Ps : Sorry for my bad english! Thanks Maculosa -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : ypexode Date : 03-12-06 03:18 PM Thread Title : character problem My idea is that if you are going to play for years a human would do because there is no level restrictions.Supposedly, that you begin 1st level. On the other hand a dwarf is going to be much stronger and better fighter. In the end just choose what YOU want to Roleplay better and dont look at the stats.Have fun and spread AD&D to the abyss!!!! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Higmorton Date : 03-25-06 05:49 PM Play a wemic, you will have your foreclaw attacks, as well be ambidexterous throwing darts, small but will be able to throw six at first level if you specialize with ambidex. Have the dart in x-shaped harness across your chest, once you get higher in level you can also specialize in wild/natural fighting and increase your attacks with your foreclaws. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Agathokles Date : 03-28-06 03:53 AM There is a very very long time i haven't played ad&d 2nd edition, we are starting a new game and i want to do a Fighter, so i need uggestions about the RACE and wich WARRIOR Kits i should choose to make a cool, fun to play and powerful caracter. The choice of kit and race is closely related to the campaign you're playing -- e.g., a Lupin Inheritor Fighter may be cool and powerful (and he is both, indeed), but you can't play it in a Dark Sun campaign. Actually, you can play it only on Mystara, unless the DM has done a significant conversion work. If you go by the standard races and kits, good combinations can be found for Dwarves (Axe-for-Hire, Sharpshooter) focusing on strenght (or dexterity) and constitution, Elves (Archer, Windrider) and Halflings (Archer, Forestwalker, Squire) focusing on dexterity. Specifically, if your party includes a Paladin or other knight-like fighter, the Halfling Squire can be a good choice for roleplaying (especially if the other fighter is a bit of a don Quixote). If your PC is going to be the main melee character, than a Dwarf Axe-for-Hire may be the way to go. In a party with several other melee types, an archer (Halfling or Elf Archer, or even the Dwarven Sharpshooter) can be more useful. Going on to non-standard character races (from PO:S&P), thri-kreen make very effective fighters, and have a high level limit. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : tallforadwarf Date : 03-28-06 04:23 PM Hey! Race: Dwarf Kit: Gladiator or Race: Human Kit: Pirate Okay, both are 'classic', but either one will guarantee a good time! Peace, tfad -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : goblin_gronth Date : 03-29-06 03:29 AM Barbarian... unearth arcana or my personal favorite was oriental adventure barbarians. More hitpoints to start and alot of nice features. Stay human in this choice to kind of keep it simple if it has been awhile for playing 2nd ed. I have played these quite a bit. feel free to ask me anoy other questions. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Evergreen_Aldaron Date : 03-29-06 12:19 PM The choice of kit and race is closely related to the campaign you're playing -- e.g., a Lupin Inheritor Fighter may be cool and powerful (and he is both, indeed), but you can't play it in a Dark Sun campaign. I completely agree with the spirit of this, your choice really depends on the campaign - and more specifically - the party that is comprised. Whatever you choose will compliment and enhance the party you are involved with. I would focus on role-playing being the key, and go from there. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 8] Author : Agathokles Date : 03-30-06 05:05 AM Barbarian... unearth arcana or my personal favorite was oriental adventure barbarians. More hitpoints to start and alot of nice features. Note that Barbarians were significantly toned down in second edition -- they have almost none of the advantages of the 1e barbarians you are thinking of. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 9] Author : goblin_gronth Date : 03-30-06 10:37 PM I wasnt thinking of him using a 2nd edition Barbarian. I understand they are 1st edition.. They can be put into 2nd edition easily enough. Ask your DM if he will allow, since its his campaign and he might not have orientals in it. :) Fun though all the same. Our group used second edition rules with mostly any character from 1st edition books to 2nd edition (players handbooks...) Unearth has some other fun ones too. Cavaliers are a good one to flesh out too. Also having alot of different abilities. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:16 AM.
