I've never played the orange cover, and according to the Expert rulebook, B3 occurs in the Haven Valley, around the Lake of Lost Dreams in the Dymrak Forest of Karameikos, but the module itself has nothing as to where it should be places, if at all. Also Princess Argenta "is" the ruler with the Knight being her fiancee. Now, the Orange cover has a map, specifically placing it on the plateau north of Glantri. Argenta "was" the ruler and the knight was the villan of the module. I was planning on running thru the orange cover (in an attempt to shake up one of my players, who thinks they've played "Silver Princess" before. But this is the same campaign--so how should the history be resolved? I was thinking maybe that the green-cover location was only a gate, opened by the green people of Faerie, leading to the plateau, even to the plateau's past... (This will be the second time i've used time travel in my non-Immortal game; the first being X2.) This does seem to be a bit of a stretch. Are there any other suggestions? Also, involving both my 3e project and Thorf's maps, how would they effect the maps and history? Which is more "canon" (for lack of a better term)? Would it be green because it was the one we all knew, or the Orange because it specifically places it in Mystara? If you have already played through the Green covered one in the same campaign, I suggest changing the Silver Palace and characters around a bit, including names, dungeon layout etc, but keeping Gulluvia as is. Perhaps instead of the Silver Palace, this could be the Castle of Gold? Håvard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : gawain_viii Date : 04-05-06 12:26 PM Maybe. That way both versions can be used stand-alone without intereference from the other... Only the name of the castle/adventure/main characters needs to change. It's a thought. That way both versions can be used stand-alone without intereference from the other... Only the name of the castle/adventure/main characters needs to change. I think it could be weird if the same map was used for the palace in both adventures during the same campaign. That is unless it is the same palace. With your suggestion that the Palace is connected to both places this could work. I would recommend using that in connection to what James Mishler wrote on Haven, making it a realm that sometimes appears in the Faerie Realm and sometimes in Karameikos. Taking that a step further, the Silver Palace could also appear in Gulluvia at times. This could even be linked with my idea of the Two Silver Palaces built by the Wizard-Priest Traldar constructing the Silver Palace as a place of refuge for his people, this could work. The appearance on the Plateau of the Silver Palace is a result of the Traldar descendant Boldavians migrating to Glantri, or that Traldar predicted this... Håvard -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : Hugin Date : 04-05-06 02:07 PM Similar to what Havard wrote, the Silver Palace on the plateau could be the actual and original one, now dilapidated and nearly in ruins. The one in Haven/Faerie Realm could be a residual 'image' of the real one when in it's full splender. To really mess up the players, have the characters in the real palace actually be their spirits (but don't make it obvious at first). They probably don't even know they're dead! It could be that the residual Palace is the reason these souls have not found rest. Anyways, there's some thoughts that may trigger something to work with! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Arcanda Date : 04-08-06 02:29 AM I'd like to see a Thorf's Gulluvia map... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:23 AM.
