Thread Title : Dark Sun and Complete Psionics

As an avid fan of Dark Sun with the current release of Complete Psionics and now my blood boils once again to play this long lost forgotten setting. I was just wondering how other people who play Dark Sun are planning on using this?

I do have the Dragon Magazines that detail the Dark Sun 3.5 as well as the one on Defilers and Preservers. I love the setting have been toying with the idea of doing a Dark Sun adventure (I still remember my favorite adventure, an old Dungeon magazine adventure, "The Last Troll on Athas" or something like that).

So how to integrate the new race Synad, the new classes Erudite, Ardent, Divine Mind, and the Lurk. So hit me up with your point of view.

I was really taken with Dark Sun.  while I appreciate that someone has tried to keep it going, the folks who are running that setting really need to put some elbow grease into it.  It has been languishing in obscurity for far too long.

I'd like to see it updated with the new WotC products in mind, like Complete Psionic.  Also, some of the new spellcaster related books would compliment DS as well.

Have you seen the official releases at Athas.org (http://www.athas.org), or been to the DS forums on this website?

I would reccomend that you check those things out if you are really interested in the setting. It hasn't really languished into obscurity at all. There is a vibrant community of Dark Sun supporters that have been continuing to work on the setting, writing rules and other material of it; including a beautiful set of maps detailing the rest of the world.
