Yeah, thats something that Mystara GMs will have to change if they are using this book, or all kinds of silly confusions would ensue. :)


According to my compiled list of planes (http://www.pandius.com/planes.html), the Realm of Orcus is called Ossia, a non-canon name suggested by James Mishler.

Nice list of planes! Thanks for the pics too. I can't believe that I had not pictured Demogorgon before. I mean, I'm positive that I read about him in WotI before but the image didn't click in my head until now!

Yes, there was indeed an illustration of Demogorgon and Orcus in the Gold Box Immortals Set. Demogorgon's head looked more Gorilla-ish there than the Chimpanzee look he seems to have been given in 3E.

Those are actually mandrill (http://eduinc.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/mandril.jpg) heads. The Immortals Set version does make him make him more apelike; the current 3e version is based on the AD&D version, where his heads were explicitly mandrills or baboons.

In the case of Immortals, it doesn't really bother me that there are some contradictions in descriptions/illustrations. Altering their appearance doesnt really take much of an effort from these guys does it? :)
