Thread Title : 2nd edition: Cantrip NWP?

Back when I played with my old DM, we used a rule that said you could take Cantrip as a non-weapon proficiency that took up 2 slots and allowed you to use cantrip as many times per day as you wanted.  I asked my old DM and he says he is pretty sure that this came either from one of the supplement books or from dragon magazine.  Does anyone else know about this, and know where it is from?  If it really is an official rule I want to find it for a 2nd edition game that I'm going to be joining.

Hope that helps!  I have had a PC in one of my games use the cantrip proficiency.  Worked out well.

Thanks!  I think that issue might be on the old Dragon Magazine Archive CD set thingy I have, so I'm definately going to have to install that soon.

Yes, issue 221 is on the Dragon Magazine archive CD.
