I am almost certain that either in the 2nd edition Player's Handbook or the Dungeon Master's Guide that there is a short reference to dropping a level character down to 0th level so that he may begin an a brand new adventuring career, presumably in another class. This is separate from dual-classing, where old levels in an old class are retained, for in the case I am talking about all classes are dropped so that one is 0th level and may retrain to become some other class, most often I would imagine because such a character did not have the stats to dual-class or simply because the player wanted to do this for whatever reason. Again, I am almost certain this is referenced somewhere in the two core books, but I am currently at a complete loss to find this reference, even though I rather pride myself on knowing those two books like the back of my hand. Any assistance on this matter, especially page numbers, would be helpful, for this is coming up in a campaign I am working on. Please help, much needed. Thank you for your time. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : weasel fierce Date : 08-16-06 11:35 AM This is certainly not in the core books. Maybe from the high level campaigns book ? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : oralpain Date : 08-16-06 01:07 PM I recall this rule as well, but I know it is not in any of the core books, nor is it in "High-Level Campaigns". Edit: I found the reference on page 59 of the Dark Sun accessory "Dragon Kings". -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : phaaf_glien Date : 08-16-06 03:42 PM Bravo! You are correct oralpain. I was pretty sure there was something else out there on this, but the Dragon Kings reference certainly works for me. Thank you much. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:18 AM.
