If not is it possible to move into a creature by way of the mouth or nose and the end the spell and come solid inside the creature splitting it from the inside out? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : weasel fierce Date : 09-08-06 04:36 PM Thread Title : Re: A use for Wraithform I would presume both characters would die horribly and violently, if this was attempted. Of course, there's also the question of magic resistance :) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : FingerThePick Date : 09-08-06 06:06 PM Thread Title : Re: A use for Wraithform how would the magic resistance come in? I thought magic resistance only applied to spells directly cast at the magic resistant creature? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : weasel fierce Date : 09-08-06 07:02 PM Thread Title : Re: A use for Wraithform Its been mentioned in books that magic resistance also applies, f.x. when trying to move through a magic barrier etc. Basically, whenever the spell affects teh creature. If it would apply here would be a DM call, but as stated, I would consider both characters slain outright in such a situation, unless there is a vast difference in size. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : oralpain Date : 09-09-06 09:44 AM Thread Title : Re: A use for Wraithform Wraithform seems to utilize the ethereal plane, and living matter will block passage of ethereal matter. I would rule that an attack like the one you mentioned would be impossible. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : FingerThePick Date : 09-09-06 01:13 PM Thread Title : Re: A use for Wraithform Its been mentioned in books that magic resistance also applies, f.x. when trying to move through a magic barrier etc. Basically, whenever the spell affects teh creature. My character did almost die and would have if not for his ring of regeneration and he was somewhat smaller(elf vs large human berzerker) it was a last ditch effort to save my companions and I did not expect to live or for it to really work. The said enemy was uninjured and pawerful and we had just gott done fighting a large group of enemies and were exausted, almost out of spells, arrows and hit points. My guy was unconsious for about 4 or 5 days (the session where I did this was years ago so I dont remember all the details) but was well respected by the party after that. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 08:18 AM.
