My character decided to quest for Immortality and gained the sponsorship of Odin. However, we agreed that quests for Immortality should be played as one-on-one games with the player and the DM only. This lead to the death of the campaign as we were more interested in hanging out together than seeing what happened to the characters. Hnmmmm...maybe I should dig out those old characters and make them initiate immortals in my own campaigns? I would probably need to find new names for them since characters back in those days tended to have names like Conan, Raistlin, Faramir etc... The furtherest I've ever gone is about the mid-teens level in OD&D and level 9 in 3.x. I have wondered what it would be like but I tend to have more fun with the lower levels for some reason. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : yellowdingo Date : 05-06-07 07:02 PM Thread Title : Re: One above all I've never had a game get even near that point. I had a Wizard (L36) from Thyatis City almost make it. Spent a few hundred years building a Trebuchet of Dragon Slaying for a bunch of dwarves in Davinia. Died of very old age just as he was about to look into it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:25 AM.
