And other towns have their favourite dish too. Maybe they are less know worldwide, but in Rome you can eat "pajata" (a meat dish) and "spaghetti alla gricia" (spaghetti with bacon, cheese and pepper), in Genoa "trofie al pesto" (a short paghetti with green sausage), in Bologna "tortellini" or "lasagne" (2 very different kinds of pasta), in Palermo "arancini" (fried rice balls). What about Mystara? Do you know Specularum tipical dish? Sayr Ulan tipical food should be rice with curry, Minrothad would be famous for grilled fish. But what about Karameikos, Darokin, Alfheim, Rockhome, Thiatys, Alphatia etc etc? What am I going to ask in a tipical Known World inn? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : yellowdingo Date : 05-13-07 10:02 AM Thread Title : Re: One city, one dish Here in Italy you must go to Neaples if you want to eat a really good pizza. Karameikos Predominantly preserved foods that dont require too much firewood Marilenev: Assorted Salami (beef, mutton, pork, fish), boiled eggs and onions in salted vineger. Chickens for roasting, Pies, Smoked fish, vegetables, fruit(grapes). Hotpot (fish or other meat, salt, turnip, wine and baked in a ceramic pot). Stuffed bread (a yeastless bread stuffed with fruits and meats and baked in coals). Cereal (Honey and Roasted Oats with Milk) Penhaligon: One of the few exports from this impoverished community is Venison/Mutton Salami Threshold: Patriarch Halaran enjoys Baked Stirge stuffed with shrieker mushroom and Stirge liver marinated in Honey. Herbed Wild Boar Sausages and Herb Breads are produced by the Elven communities. Caviar and sturgeon from the riverways. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : Valentinus Date : 05-13-07 11:44 AM Thread Title : Re: One city, one dish Karameikos Predominantly preserved foods that dont require too much firewood Marilenev: Assorted Salami (beef, mutton, pork, fish), boiled eggs and onions in salted vineger. I guess that the favorite dish in Rifillian would be a helping of forest fruits and berries, together with small amounts of venison (sweet sauce optional). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Downloaded from Wizards Community (http://forums.gleemax.com) at 05-10-08 09:24 AM.
