Well, after reading the PDFs a couple of days ago (we finally played DS again... damn messenger) I've found that the number of psionic powers available is still too limited for the psionic flavor of the campaing.

So, we did a brainstorm and came up with a number of powers we found interesting to propose...

-Powers that grant DR, from the psymet discipline if posible (wooden skin, obsidian skin, etc).
-More work on converting the powers from The Will and the Way to 3E (if possible).
-Some specific powers that are campaing specific, like mind over body and photosintesis.

Sounds like a good idea!

Be careful with powers that grant DR though... that's like having armor, but better, because you don't have to wear anything.

I like the photosynthesis idea... maybe a 3rd level power? IDHTBIFOM, but it should be about one level higher than the priest spell Create Food and Water, or maybe even w/ it if it doesn't allow for the reduction of water consumption.

my 2 bits.

IDHTBIFOM? .... wow, you lost me there.

Anyway, I've played with Mindscapes, and in there you can find a series of metacreative powers that grants DR. So far, they've worked great for me at the two ends of the game. As a player and as a DM.

More on the DR request. It seems that some kinds of armor grant DR in 3.5 instead of bonuses to AC, so I guess that is an even greater reason to let DR powers be (same for spells), since I doubt I'll ever see something in a full armor anytime soon in DS (unless it has the "call" propierty).

It's about damn time, I've been making that argument every since I started playing in 2e and finally got fed up with it and changed it in 2.5.

Bruno and Fabricio have converted the powers from the Will and the Way. They are currently undergoing proofreading, then they will be added to the core rules.

DR is allready provided throught the power Biofeedback. A 1st level psychic warrior or 2nd level psion/wilder power starts at 2/-, with an augment of +1/3 power points. So a 12th level psion for instance could give him/herself DR 5/-. It doesn't really seem necessary to make it into more then one power.

Please tell me Call Planar Energies is on that list. I always thought it was a better way to do Energy powers than, well, all the Energy powers from XPH.

athas.org has some quandaries about associating psionics with the elemental planes... so I'm afraid it'll not make it.

But who knows?

Energy Lance from Complete Psi sort of captures the flavor ot the old Call Planar Energies power.

If it's anything like the other Energy powers it duplicates the effects, but not the flavor...

I just don't like my Psions randomly shooting bolts of energy around. Sure port in some planar stuff, but don't just make fireballs and cones of cold. That's a wizard thing.

There's some added effects with energy lance unlike the other energy powers. These energy types have different failed save effects ranging from reducing Wis score to reducing movement based on the energy.

We have a list of 114 additional powers. Most of them are conversions of Will and the Way to 3.5 ed. Got them from various internet sites, and some are homebrew conversions. However, I don't know the copyright laws about putting this on the internet.

OMG, the thread is ... ALIVE!! :D

Anyway, I've yet to read complete psi, but I guess some powers from there could be added into DS or at least used as guidelines for those powers you guys are using (game mechanics wise).

That's almost all of the powers in 2ed! And several of them are in the SRD. You sure a bunch of them aren't brand new?

I don't know. Most of it is old (some are even converted by you as I remember correctly), but there are some new. Many of them are from a power list from athas.org, which is not there anymore.
By the way, many of those powers which we found on the internet resemble the powers which are now published in complete psionics. Probably the developers got some inspiration from there.
