Have all the Alternity products been converted to ESDs yet? I have yet to find Mindwalking (Core?), Alien Compendium 2 (Star*Drive) and Outbound: Explorer's Guide (Star*Drive).

Too bad WOTC doesn't allow rpgnow to burn them to CD. Would save me hours and hours of download time...

I just wish the ESDs would have been distilled from the actual digital files of the products rather than using the greatly inferior method of making pdfs from scanned pages. Would have been higher quality and smaller file size. Better than nothing but still a bit irritating. I can understand using this method for products from the pre-digital days of layout but this is just lame. Most likely legal hocus pocus prevented the sharing of the digital files.

It would be nice to have Mindwalking.

I have a feeling I'll eventually end up buying physical copies of the "essentials," and have a virtual collection of the PDFs as they become available.

Given that I'm interested in Star*Drive, can I get comments on what everyone considers the "essentials"?

Heretic,

You might be able to find the answer to that question, and many more by checking over at www.alternity.net or even www.tequilastarrise.net and do a search through their forums.

I know this topic was discussed in some detail - including the novels, although you may need to search the archived threads (linked up under each section heading.) At one point some users were even doing reviews of the main sourcebooks.

Hope this helps,

Mindwalking (Core?),

Yep. Core.
