It's obvious Greyhawk will never disappear, whatever tsr or wOtc do for. BUt, when i read all the threads, it's also obvious things are not going as they should be for greyhawk.
So i propose one thing, that SHOULD BE effective, if greyhawkers are still enough motivated and numerous today.
I would like someone of you to write a short and effective letter ( I am french and really lacking of practice) wich will be a model adressed to WotC.
This letter should express how we are disagree with Wotc commercial politic toward greyhawk, and that we really want things to change or we will totally stop to buy any wotc products. ANY. (easy to download on kazaa or e-mule).
If we are enough to send this e-mail to wotc adress i think this boycott could have a positive effect. This letter should be avalaible on all greyhawk site on the web, and adressed to all the people we know who are interrested by.
By the number of e-mail received in a few months, i think Wotc will have a realistic estimation of the money they can loose, or win, depending of their attitude.
It should be a big movement, all greyhawkers should act, all the people who really want things to change but cannot act in an isolated way.
I just someone to write this letter, people here to vote if we have different submissions, and all of you to play the game, hoping it will make a snowball effect.
Its the only way to change things.
Lets go.

Makoma,

I tried to do this already in a previous post (The State of Greyhawk Address), and it didn't work well. However, I must say that I do completely agree with you and your idea. I would be willing to do this. Unfortunately it seems most of theolder GH fans don't feel this would help any. Count me in though.

Also I took some initiative and wrote an article about GH for Regdar's Repository. It should be posted soon, I hope.

I talked with some of my players and they are all agree with this way of re-acting. Ok , we'er just 6. but we will do the best we can to spread our word in france. If Wotc don't worry about us and d&d original campaign setting, we wont worry about wotc, i made my last buying last week. Even if we don't have a good letter to email by thousands to wotc, i will no more spend a penny for them.
:invasion: will make the difference

It is sort of an article board here. You can find it just above the D&D Meta Board I think. Take a look.

Below is a draft of such, which also constitutes my actual demand. I request any moderators to forward the below letter to their appropriate supervisors. I request of another poster to find the pertinent email address for us to send this request (and similar ones) directly.

-----

Dear Gentleperson,

I write you today to advocate that Wizards of the Coast produce new products dedicated to the World of Greyhawk fantasy setting. As the oldest setting developed for the precursor to Dugeons & Dragons, the World of Greyhawk has great potential to augment existing lines of roleplaying game products. Greyhawk has a large and active fanbase that transcends members of the RPGA, and that desires to purchase official material.

While I do not know the business realities, I want you to know that I am ready to buy Greyhawk products, and I wonder why such are not produced. Please note that I have purchased the recently released Scourge of Worlds DVD, which I enjoy. I bought it because of its connection to the World of Greyhawk setting. Beyond that licensed product, I want to see Wizards develop a Greyhawk product line with comparable printing/binding standards to that of the Forgotten Realms line.

I very strongly urge you to meet my consumer demands.

Very truly yours,

~Marc Tizoc Gonzalez
