Concerning Graphics and Websites

Okay, I've got a slight issue and a question.

For a while there was a nice little DS3e graphic that you could use on a website as a nice way to show your website's support for Athas.org and the DS3e conversion project. Now it seems that little logo has been ditched. Can't seem to find it anywhere in use. Its still in the PDFs, but now you can't proudly display it on a webpage. Was there a reason for this? If not, can someone out there send me over a copy of it (preferable transparent gif) as I'd like to use it as a smaller link to Athas.org on my currently in the works super top secret website project (or course, along with tons of other links back, but I just liked the logo and would rather have a banner link of the "Burnt World of Athas" elsewhere on the page). Email is Mach. Much appreaciated ;)

I've got "a" logo, the once "official unofficial" logo in the misc section on my site.

Thanks. I'll use that if no one has the other logo. Just was never very fond of it. But thanks again.

Hey Mach, just roam through all the web sites I have in my links page. I know it's on one of the old pages, but I dont remember which one.

Wow . . .

I'm usually such a fun loving guy, always joking around (too much most of the time). I've just been floored though. I figured, hey, I'll just start browsing through Grum's extensive links till I find the pic or until I got so bored that I gave up. I never found the image. And I didn't get bored. In fact, it was depressing. There's so many old websites out there, lost to neglect. I'm being nostalgic, I know. But I remember watching many of those pages go up. Watched quite a few of them become great resources for DS gaming. Now, as barren as anything on Athas.

I spent the better part of several hours just perusing these old websites. Many of them still have some fine bits of material on them. Some of the were complete garbage from the start and were left unfinished. Still, I sat there, ardently browsing almost every page of every site in sheer amazement. So many people have left. Gerald Lewis. Epssus. Treant B (forgot the last name). Nytcrawler. Here's to all of you in the hopes that you return, someday.

Now might be a good time to remind everyone of the Revitalizing Old Dark Sun Sites Project. If you've got an inactive Dark Sun webpage, send me an e-mail, and we can host the material on Athas Online. jon[at]athas.org (isn't really active yet, so use athas[at]online.no)

Hey! I'm still here. Just debating on whether I want to redo the site completely or leave as is, once I figure that out I'll get more content up.

Going to need to soon with core about ready to be done and all these ideas swimming through my head.

Oh and don't forget Teos. Course he was more active on the mailing list than he was on his website I think.

Heh, I know Nyte. But would it be true Mach post without the wit?

Err, your site is fine. Just needs more Rych content, that's all ;)

No, it would not be a true Mach post without the awesome wit of Mach, hehe.

Going to see the Ryche in Fart Wayne (formerly known as Fort Wayne) in October. Seeing Amy Lee and company again in August.

Woo!

WOOOHOOO! Bad boys of prog Dream Theater are gonna be there too! Looking next week to get tickets for a show in Cleveland. My two all-time vocal idols are gonna be back to back and I'm more than psyched. Just can't seem to find anyone who wants to go with me . . . damn ryche haters . . .

Yeah! I was throughly surprised with the lineup. I like QR more than DT, but not that much more, and I've always wanted to see DT live anyways. Fates Warning isn't too bad either.

I'm hearing quite a bit of DT fans are really liking QR's stuff, new and old, so there's hope after all I guess.

I must say their latest is much better than the last two albums.

:D

There's actually a slight bit of space to fill, so it may well find it's way back into things. Of course, the docs are big enough as is ... (so, after all, who's gonna notice another 3k, right?)

Well, I'll let you know how the concert goes Nyt, on my way to Cleveland in a few. Been a long time coming. Second time for QR and first time for DT
